To lie is to deliver a false statement to another person which the speaking person knows is not the whole truth, intentionally. (Wikipedia definition)
Once a lie has been told, there can be two alternative consequences: it may be discovered or remain undiscovered. Many of us prefer the second choice. Altough, it may not hurt us at all, but the victims? What will they think about you? One simple answer. They'll never say anything to you again or, harsher, never speak with you. Wait, you'll say, they're the same. Yes, indeed. They'll never speak to you again or never trust you. So better not lie, and if you do, say it.
“If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything.”
― Mark Twain
“I'm not upset that you lied to me, I'm upset that from now on I can't believe you.”
― Friedrich Nietzsche
“If you tell a big enough lie and tell it frequently enough, it will be believed.”
― Adolf Hitler
Kids, do never ever try what mr. Adolf said above, okay? Just remember what Mark Twain said.
Nice post, Wolfskin!:)I very much agree with that.
